1) “Accused” (shown here), 9:01 p.m. Tuesday, Fox. After a grim and disturbing opener Sunday, this anthology bounces back sharply. In a skillful directing debut, Marlee Matlin guided talented actors, some who are deaf, as is Matlin. The story involves a deaf baby and a drastic decision. Even when a character makes a huge mistake, we’re rooting for her. That’s a hallmark of this series, which offers neatly nuanced portraits of people in swirling situations. Read more…

1) “Night Court” debut, 8 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, NBC. Here are key pieces of past comedy hits: There’s “Night Court” and John Larroquette, who won four straight Emmys as Dan Fielding, before withdrawing from consideration. And there’s Melissa Rauch – Bernadette on “The Big Bang Theory” – playing the new judge. She wants Fielding back (they’re shown here) — but this time handling the defense. 1) Golden Globe Awards, 8-11 p.m. Tuesday, NBC. After a one-year pause (to fix diversity failures), the telecast is back, with Jerrod Carmichael hosting. The drama-movie nominees are strong, with “Top Gun” and “Avatar” sequels facing “Elvis,” “Tar” and Steven Spielberg’s “Fabelmans,” Comedy-movie nominees are “Glass Onion” (shown here with Daniel Craig, who’s also nominated), “Babylon,” “Triangle of Sadness,” “The Banshees of Inishirin” and “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” Read more…

1) Rose Parade, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET today, NBC, ABC, Peacock and RFD-TV. The New Year’s Day party begins — a day late. With Jan. 1 on a Sunday, the parade (shown here in a previous year) was nudged back; now it booms down 5.5 miles of Pasadena. Six of the 21 bands are from California, but others are from Italy, Japan, Mexico, Panama and Taiwan. The 40 floats include two states and four colleges. The theme is “Turning the Corner”; occasionally, floats get stuck turning corners. Read more…

1) “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” 8-11 p.m. Saturday, then11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., ABC. Dick Clark’s creation (now hosted by Ryan Seacrest, shown here) stretches to 5-plus hours. Performing live at Times Square are Duran Duran, New Edition, j-hope (from BTS) and TikTok star Jax. Billy Porter performs live in New Orleans; California parties, taped in advance, include Ciara, Shaggy, Ben Platt, Halle Bailey, Wiz Khalifa, Dove Cameron, Finneas, Aly & AJ and more. Read more…

1) “Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to All,” 8 p.m. Tuesday, CBS. Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas is You” seems eternal. It hit No. 1 on Billboard in 2019 – 25 years after its debut; by then, it had sold 14 million physical records and topped $60 million in royalties. But Carey (shown here) isn’t a one-song star; she’s shown power and passion on songs from “Silent Night” and “O Holy Night” to “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town.” Here’s her Madison Square Garden concert. 1) “The Voice” finale, 8-10 p.m. today, NBC, then 9-11 p.m. Tuesday, with a recap at 8. The final five get one more chance tonight; then Tuesday has music and fun. Blake Shelton performs with his three finalists — Brayden Lape (shown here), Bryce Leatherwood, Bodie) and with Kane Brown. 1) “The Amazing Race” finale, 9-10 p.m. Wednesday, CBS. The final three duos race for the million-dollar prize. There’s a Miami firefighter (Luis Colon) and his wife (Michelle Burgess), a dancer. And a couple that met in the 2021 “Big Brother” (Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss, shown here). And Emily Bushnell and Molly Sinert, adopted from Korea, who learned by accident, with DNA tests, that they are twins. They met in person this year, on their 36th birthday. Read more…

1) “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and more. For 58 years, Rudolph has been TV’s top reindeer; now CBS has a three-deer week. “Rudolph” airs at 8 p.m. Tuesday, followed at 9 by the debut of “Reindeer in Here” (shown here). The bumbling Bliz (Adam Devine) may have ruined Christmas; he tries to save it, with the help of his oversharing friend and a lonely boy. And the witty “Robbie the Reindeer,” bumped last week by an awards show, is 8 p.m. Saturday. Read more…

1) Thanksgiving Day parade, 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, NBC (rerunning from 2-5 p.m.); also, 1-4 p.m., CBS. The mega-parade (shown here in a previous year) has 12 bands, 10 performance groups, lots of balloons and 28 floats, often with stars – from Paula Abdul to Ziggy Marley — onboard. Early on, NBC will have the Broadway casts of “Funny Girl,” “The Lion King,” “A Beautiful Noise” and “Some Like It Hot”; CBS will counter with the casts of “Moulin Rouge” and “Six.” Read more…
