1) “NCIS: Origins” season-finale, 10 p.m., CBS. The bad news for Gibbs (shown here) is that he’s being investigated for murder; the worse news is that he and others know he did it. That adds up to a tense hour that we see through Cecelia (known as Lala), his steely colleague. It’s a gripping hour with a closing jolt.
2) “Poppa’s House” season-finale, 8:30, CBS. This is another first-season show, but with a difference: “Origins” will be back next year; “Poppa’s” has been cancelled. Also returning next year will be “The Neighborhood” and “NCIS,” which have their season-finales next Monday.
3) “Yes, Chef” debut, 10 p.m., NBC. Think of this as the exact opposite of Gordon Ramsay’s shows. Ramsay verbally brutalizes other chefs; now Jose Andres (the good-guy chef/philanthropist) pushes cooperation, helped by Martha Stewart. It’s a good concept, smudged by the fact that this reality show’s odd rules bring some built-in unfairness.
4) “The Voice” (NBC) and “American Idol” (ABC), 8-10 p.m. “Voice” starts its playoffs, with each judge only allowed to keep two people. “Idol” has a visit from Fantasia and has the 12 singers each do a number linked to one of the show’s iconic moments.
5) ALSO: Basketball fans can catch the conclusion of the “Celtics City” documentary series, at 9 p.m. on HBO. Or they can catch the current season; playoff games are at 7:30 p.m. ET on TNT and TruTV and 10 p.m. on TNT. And yes, the Boston Celtics are in the play-offs again, but not tonight.
