2) “Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light” finale, 9 p.m., PBS. In two potent seasons (a decade apart), we’ve seen the relationship between King Henry VIII (Damian Lewis) and Cromwell (Mark Rylance), a steel-willed ex-blacksmith who is his fixer. After twisting the lives of others around him, Cromwell faces his reckoning, in a strong finish.

3) More dramas. A week from its season-finale, “Equalizer” (10 p.m., CBS) has Robyn helping Dante’s brother clear a client’s name; that soon leads to a much bigger crisis. PBS has unusually grim outings of “Call the Midwife” and “Marie Antoinette,” at 8 and 10. And at 10:07, AMC has the season-opener of “Black Snow”; subsequent hours will be on AMC+.

4) “The Americas,” 7 and 8 p.m., NBC. This splendid series has concluded, but here are worthy reruns – first the Caribbean, then the West Coast. There are land scenes with wolves, capuchin monkeys and more, but most of the views are maritime, from whales to remarkable octopus moments.

5) ALSO: At 8 p.m., ABC’s 14 “America Idol” contestants tackle songs by people in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; also, Fox’s “Simpsons” recruits an overseas star for Springfield’s baseball team. At 9 ET, Eva Longoria starts a new “Searching for Spain” season on CNN. And at 10, HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones” is a week from its series finale.
