1) “Elsbeth,” 8 p.m., CBS. The world isn’t quite ready for Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) on a jury (shown here). A lawyer herself, she’s smarter than the prosecutor, way smarter than the rumpled defense attorney … and way more honest that the judge. He’s played by Michael Emerson (Preston’s husband), in a terrific rerun that sets up next Thursday’s so-so episode.
2) “The Bible,” 2 p.m. to midnight, History. On Easter eve, this mini-series reruns … then repeats its Easter portions (8 and 10 p.m.) at 12:03 and 2:05. Also, BYUtv has music – Handel’s “Messiah,” from the Tabernacle Choir, at 5:03 p.m. ET and a “Grace Notes” special at 7:33. And “The Greatest Story Ever Told” (1965) is 10 p.m. ET on UPtv.
3) Basketball. The pro playoffs begin with four games – three on ESPN, then one on ABC. It’s Bucks-Pacers at 1 p.m. ET, Clippers-Nuggets at 3:30, Pistons-Knicks at 6 and, on ABC, Timberwolves-Lakers at 8:30.
4) “ABBA: Against the Odds” (2024), 8-10 p.m., CW. It’s a weekend of music documentaries for CW. Tonight is the Swedish group that had huge record sales (some estimates top 300 million worldwide) and spawned two “Mamma Mia” movies. On Sunday is Dolly Parton.
5) Steven Spielberg movies, AMC: This is a day to savor Hollywood’s greatest director. Spielberg’s “Jurassic Park” (1993) and “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” (1997) are at 1 and 4 p.m., followed by some of his Indiana Jones films: “The Last Crusade” (1989) at 7 p.m.; “The Temple of Doom” (1984) at 10, “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” (2008) at 12:30.
