2) “American Idol,” 8-10 p.m., ABC. It’s the second half of Hawaii Week, now with Josh Groban mentoring 12 singers. That collides with NBC’s “The Voice,” which has its third night of “knockouts.”

3) “Holy Marvels” season-opener, 10 p.m., History. Stepping into Holy Week, the channel ponders theories of what happens after death. This will repeat Saturday, in a day of Easter-themed reruns – “Marvels” from 8 a.m. to noon and “The Bible” mini-series from 2-10:05 p.m. The next day (Easter) reruns “Jesus: His Life” from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4) “The Chelsea Detective,” www.acorn.tv. Here’s the mid-section of an excellent (but brief) season, which has three movie-length tales. Last Monday had Alex Kingston (“ER”) as an American ambassador, entangled in a murder mystery. Tonight, the discovery of a coin leads to a case that includes antiques and an upscale music society.

5) MORE: There’s a series-opener — Valerie Bertinelli hosts “Bingo Blitz,” at 7:30 p.m. on the Game Show Network – and a season-opener: Ty Pennington hosts the “Rock the Block” competition, at 9 on HGTV. Also, NBC’s 10 p.m. slot (which usually has “The Hunting Party”) goes to “Found” – which loans its Thursday slot this week to a “Law & Order” event.
