1) The Ten Commandments” (1956), 7-11:44 p.m., ABC. It’s the annual showing of an epic (shown here) that won an Oscar for special effects and was nominated for six more, including best picture. The next morning (10:30 a.m. ET), it moves to UPtv and starts a Palm Sunday marathon.
2) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. Jon Hamm hosts for the fourth time – and the first in 15 years. In the interim, he’s been a familiar face; he showed up six times uncredited and was in the 50-year celebration. Also tonight, Lizzo has her fourth turn as music guest; once, she doubled as host.
3) “Farmer Wants a Wife,” 9 p.m., Fox. It’s time for a barn dance – and for a double-helping of country stars: Jennifer Nettles hosts and Brad Paisley shows up with his wife (actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley), offering advice. It’s a rerun, following another one (“Next Level Chef”) at 8.
4) “Top Gun: Maverick” (2022), 7:30 p.m., Paramount Network, repeating at 10:20. Mixing solid character drama with jet-fueled action, this revived the slumping movie theaters. Also at 7:30: “True Lies” (1994), a fun James Cameron film with Arnold Schwarzenegger, on Sundance; and “Thor: The Dark World” (2013) on Syfy.
5) More movies. At 8 p.m., HBO has “Crazy Rich Asians” (2018) and CW has “I Am Evel Knievel” (2014), a documentary about the attention-grabbing daredevil. And IFC has a terrific teen double-feature – “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” (1982) at 8:15 and “The Breakfast Club” (1985) at 10:15.
