1) “Elsbeth” return, 10 p.m., CBS. After a two-week basketball break, one of TV’s most entertaining shows is back. Mary-Louise Parker (right, with Elsbeth) plays a de-cluttering guru with a three-way romance. She unclutters it via some robotic murder. It’s a good episode … with an even better one next week.
2) More returns, CBS. A fine night is back. First, “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” has Georgie try to help his brother-in-law meet his crush. Then “Ghosts” has Pete help his friend Sasappis find love. At 9, “Matlock” has an hour that ends with a jolt – setting up a strong season-finale, over the next two Thursdays.
3) “Pulse” debut, Netflix. Many of the best hospital shows (“ER,” “Chicago Hope,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) have been on Thursdays. Now Netflix offers the 10-episode season of this show, from “Lost” producer Carlton Cuse. It mixes the medical crises and the complications of romance and authority.
4) “Grey’s Anatomy,” 10 p.m., ABC. And here’s the forever hospital show on Thursdays. Amelia and Simone try a pioneering brain surgery. Also, Jo is continually annoyed bt a younger doctor. That follows a rowdy spring -reak episode of “Doctor Odyssey.”
5) “Next Level Chef,” 8 p.m., Fox. The social-media chefs have already lost thre of their five people; the home cooks have lost two. By comparison, all five professional chefs, ages 18 to 36, remain. Tonight, everyone tries oven roasting, steaming and deep frying.
