Best-bets for April 2: compelling look at dark day

1) “Oklahoma City Bombing,” 8-11 p.m., National Geographic. As the 30th anniversary (April 19) nears, here’s a compelling look at the bombing (shown here) that took 168 lives. We meet a woman who was pinned for six hours, another who lost two young sons, a man who fought his way out. We see the coverage, the capture, the quietly taut emotions of Oklahoma people.

2) “The Conners,” 8 p.m., ABC. Here’s the second of six episodes to wrap up the show’s run. When the restaurant is featured in a reality show, Becky starts thinking about being an influencer. That’s followed by “Abbott Elementary,” with the school’s open house turning into a fundraising car wash.

3) “Nature,” 8 p.m., PBS. The Katavi National Park, in Tanzania, is an obscure gem; some years, it has drawn only 1,500 visitors. Now its wildlife is traced in three episodes. The first two view the worst drought in a century; the third views the opposite, as rain creates flood dangers.

4) “Good Cop/Bad Cop,” 9 p.m., CW. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, gets a rare chance to work together. She starred in “Gossip Girl,” he in “The O.C.”; they met filming “The Oranges” (her character had an affair with his dad), married in 2014 and have two kids. Now he’s a “Nobody Wants This” star; on this fun show, she’s a cop and he’s a suspect.

5) “Titanic” (1997), 6:30 p.m., Freeform The best epics have it both ways – sprawling visuals, alongside richly created characters. “Titanic” is already compelling, before the ship wobbles; it won 11 Oscars – tying the record of “Ben Hur” (1959), which airs at 8 on the Movies channel. Also at 8, the superb “Saving Private Ryan” (1998) on Showtime.
