1) “iHeartRadio Music Awards,” 8-10 p.m., Fox. LL Cool J hosts and Billie Eilish, one of the artist-of-the-year nominees, performs. (She’s shown here in a previous concert.) So do Bad Bunny, Gracie Abrams, Kenny Chesney, GloRilla, Muni Long and more – including Nelly, who gets a special award. Also honored will be Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey and the Los Angeles firefighters.
2) “The Bachelor,” 8-10 p.m., ABC. Grant Ellis heads to the Dominican Republic, where he briefly played professional basketball. With him, set for the “overnight dates,” are Litia Grant, a venture capitalist; Zoe McGrady, a model and tech engineer; and Juliana Pasquarosa, who’s in client services.
3) “The Calling,” 10 p.m., PBS. Here’s an involving look at eight earnest medical students in the Bronx. Some come from comfortable backgrounds (one is the son of two doctors, another from a family of nurses); others found alternate routes. One got through college on a basketball scholarship; another got to med school via the Army.
4) “NCIS: Origins,” 10 p.m., CBS. A troubled Vietnam veteran has been killed; Franks ponders his own post-Vietnam years. That’s in a night of reruns, including shows (“Neighborhood,” “Poppa’s House,” NCIS”) that were pre-empted last week. They’ll be back to new episodes next week.
5) St. Patrick’s Day films, Turner Classic Movies. An Irish marathon includes two that stand out. John Ford’s “The Quiet Man” (1952), at 8 p.m., ET is a true classic, with John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. Francis Coppola’s “Finian’s Rainbow” (1968), 12:15 a.m., is a sharp and zesty musical.
