1) “Good Cop/Bad Cop,” 9 p.m., CW. With a frothy blend of drama and comedy, this proves that a good mystery doesn’t always need a murder. On her day off from the police station, Lily helps make a low-budget movie based on a local legend. Soon, there are eerie twists and the police survey the woods (shown here). Also, a TV newsman keeps popping up; the result is a delight.
2) “Shifting Gears,” 8 p.m., ABC. Riley panics when she finds marijuana gummies in her son’s pocket. Also, Eve (Jenna Elfman) inadvertently causes trouble when she asks for items for a charity auction. That’s followed by “Abbott Elementary,” with folks blowing off steam via a karaoke night.
3) “The Masked Singer,” 8 p.m., Fox. This edition has ousted celebrities (Cedric the Entertainer, boxer Oscar De La Hoya) and some folks who are just sort of reality-show-famous (Aubrey O’Day, Scheana Shay). Now others perform on “’Ghostbusters’ Night.”
4) “Chicago” shows, 8-11 p.m., NBC. Here’s a rerun of the story that cut across all three shows. Switching the usual order, “Chicago Fire” is first, with a gas explosion that threatens the city government building. Then, after the collapse of a subway tunnel, “Chicago Med” is busy on-site. At 10, “Chicago P.D.” searches for who did this.
5) ALSO: On “Wild Cards” (8 p.m., CW), Max needs her old scam habits to catch a crook; she sets up a fake séance. And at 10 p.m. ET, Netflix has its latest crack at live comedy. It’s a variety/talk show, “Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney.”
