2) “The Bachelor,” 8-10 p.m., ABC. Grant Ellis visits the home towns of the final four. Litia Garr, a venture capitalist, is from small-town Wyoming; others are from suburbia: Dina Lupancu, a lawyer, from near Chicago; Juliana Pasquarosa, customer service, from near Boston; Zoe McGrady, a technical engineer and model, from near Richmond, Va.

3) “Celtic City” debut, 8 p.m., HBO. The Bulls and Lakers have already had mini-series; now it’s time for a nine-parter about the Boston Celtics. They were one of the first eight teams, in 1946. They soared in the Bill Russell and Larry Bird eras, then won their 18th championship.(a record) last year.

4) “A Remarkable Place to Die,” www.acorn.tv. A week from its finale, this New Zealand mini-series has its best episode, fueled by Chelsie Crayford’s subtly perfect performance. She plays a police detective, probing a double homicide that has links to her sister’s death. Also, Acorn continues “Murdoch Mysteries” and opens the second season of “Recipes For Love and Murder,” putting some likable characters into the start of a tangled case of fire and death.

5) ALSO: NBC’s “The Voice” has its final round of auditions. That’s from 8-10 p.m., on a night with lots of dramas. At 8 p.m., CW has “All American”; at 9, CBS has “NCIS” and Fox has “Rescue HI-Surf.” At 10 p.m., it’s NBC’s “The Hunting Party” and CBS’ “NCIS: Origins.”

AND A NOTE: PBS stations are in their pledge periods now, with varied shows. One to watch for is “Shaking It Up: The Life & Times of Liz Carpenter.” Like the woman it profiles, it manages to be both breezy fun and dead-serious. We see Carpenter (see separate stpry) go from pioneering reporter to a genial force for the environment and feminism.
