2) “American Experience,” 9-11 p.m., PBS. As a Black man with light skin, Walter White took daring chances, passing among bigots to learn secrets. Soon, he was too well-known for undercover work. He led the NAACP for 25 years, spurred the integration of the military and championed the arts. Here’s a detailed profile of a complicated man.

3) “St. Denis Medical,” 8 p.m., NBC. A popular musician is performing at the hospital … but doctors detour him for tests. That leads to a frantic effort to soothe the waiting audience. This isn’t one of the better episodes, but it has some good moments during a makeshift talent show,

4) “Doc,” 9 p.m., Fox. Two weeks from its terrific season-finale, the show pauses for some brightness: The hospital staff obsesses on a patient whose life seems to be like a romantic-comedy movie. And Amy is now aware of the secret romance she had, before she lost eight years of memories.

5) “The Joe Schmo Show,” 9 p.m., TBS. This is a fake reality show, with one regular chap who thinks it’s real. Now comes a bizarre moment, as he meets the show’s enigmatic (and fictional) creator. Afterward, “Schmo” has some clever twists, designed to keep him feeling this is real.
