1) Super Bowl, 6:30 p.m. ET, Fox. The Kansas City Chiefs (shown here) try to be the first team to win three straight Super Bowls. Still, this is no domineering dynasty: The previous wins were by 3 points apiece. The conference championship win was also by 3; now they face the Philadelphia Eagles, who won their conference-title game by 32. This could be fun.
2) Super Bowl preview, Fox. The slick “Road to the Super Bowl” is at 11 a.m. ET; at noon, Bill Belichick is aboard the motorhome of the late John Madden. The pre-game show starts at 1; at about 6, there’s the National Anthem (Jon Batiste), “America the Beautiful” (Lauren Daigle, with Trombone Shorty) and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” (Ledisi).
3) More super stuff. Kendrick Lamar, fresh from his record-of-the-year Grammy, will do the halftime show, joined by Sza. Afterward, at about 10:30 ET, is the season-opener of “The Floor,” a quiz show hosted by Rob Lowe.
4) “Miss Scarlet,” 8 p.m., PBS. In the Victorian era, this episode implies, London’s theater scene was filled with ego and spite. In an excellent hour, Eliza tries to solve a murder and manage her tenuous relationship with Inspector Blake. That’s followed by a good “All Things Great and Small” (a fresh opportunity for Carmody) and an OK “Funny Woman.”
5) ALSO: From 2-5 p.m., “Puppy Bowl” is on Discovery, TBS, TruTV and Animal Planet. At 2 p.m. ET, ABC has pro basketball, with the 76ers and Bucks. At 8 p.m., NBC has “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” (2018) and others have reruns – “Celebrity Jeopardy” on ABC, “Penn & Teller on CW, “Tracker,” “Watson” and more “Tracker” on CBS.
