2) “Funny Woman” season-opener, 10 p.m., PBS. In the first season, a young actress found a new name (Sophie Straw) and stardom in early-TV comedy. Now she faces contractual and romantic dilemmas. It’s a fun trifle with a surprising ending.

3) “All Creatures Great and Small,” 9 p.m., PBS. Now that Tristan is back home (awaiting his next Army duty), he should be happy … except the new veterinarian has taken his spot; Mrs. Hall tries a solution. That’s part of a good night for PBS; on “Miss Scarlet,” at 8, Eliza’s ex-partner Patrick Nash is out of jail and, of course, in trouble.

4) Sports. There’s football, with the Pro Bowl at 3 p.m. ET on ABC … NASCAR, at 8 on Fox … and basketball, including a pro doubleheader on ESPN. It’s Celtics-76ers at 6 p.m. and Grizzlies-Bucks at 8:30.

5) “Mayfair Witches,” 9 p.m., AMC. Don’t you hate it when your lifespan is down to the final hour and a tiny version of you is in a dollhouse, failing to fix this?. That’s what happens to Rowan, as she tries to confront Cortland’s evil father. A lot of things seem to happen to her, but this hour (like previous ones) ia compelling.
