1) “Fire Country,” 9 p.m., CBS. After a six-week break, this is back to new episodes – starting with a big one: A blaze (shown here) is out of control; Bode and Audrey scramble to survive, while Eve tries to save her dad (Phil Morris) and his ranch. That’s followed by “SWAT,” with an enemy seeking revenge.
2) Grammys preview, 8 p.m., CBS. This is the lone exception to CBS’ plan to bring back all of its weekday shows this week. “NCIS: Sydney,” originally schedule for tonight, must wait until next week to start its season. Instead, this special includes interviews and glimpses of Grammy rehearsals.
3) “Happy’s Place,” 8 p.m., NBC. “This is really strange,” one person says. Yes, REALLY strange. From the start of the series, the Gabby character has been absurdly overwrought; now she hitss new extremes by bringing in an AI baby. There are funny moments from the calmer characters, including Bobbie (Reba McEntire), if you can look past Gabby’s excesses.
4) “Thomas Jefferson,” 9-11 p.m., PBS. It’s time to revisit one of the most fascinating (and confounding) lives in U.S. history. On Feb. 17-19, the History Channel will debut an involving biography of Jefferson; first, PBS uses two Fridays to rerun Ken Burns’ brilliant, 1997 film.
5) “Vietnam: The War That Changed America,” Apple TV+. Here’s another subject Burns has probed. Now others offer a fresh look, with all six parts arriving today. That follows Thursday’s arrivals of a new “Recruit” season (Netflix) and “You’re Cordially Invited” (Amazon Prime), with Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon booking competing weddings.
