2) “Happy’s Place,” 8 p.m., NBC. Amid this show’s excesses – some of them obvious here – are some excellent characters, subtle and clever. That includes Reba McEntire, who stars, and Rex Linn, who plays the bar’s cook. In real life, they’re a couple; in this show, they’re longtime friends. In a fairly good episode, a maybe-crisis brings some re-thinking.

3) “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” 8 and 8:30, Disney Channel. Billie uses a potion to enter Justin’s mind and learn why he was fired from WizTech. Then she sneaks into an underground magic battle at Wizard World.

4) “SWAT,” 10 p.m., CBS. There’s trouble in contained spaces, in tonight’s reruns. “NCIS: Sydney” (8 p.m.) has a crisis in a high-tech bunker. “SWAT” has a bomb explode, freeing prisoners from maximum-security cells.

5) “Back in Action,” Netflix. Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz play high-octane spies, settling into a life as middle-of-the-road parents. That comes a day after Amazon Prime adds “Unstoppable,” the true story of a one-legged college wrestler; Jennifer Lopez and Don Cheadle play his mom and coach.
