2) “Elsbeth,” 8 p.m., CBS. After a great season-opener (Nathan Lane as an opera-lover), “Elsbeth” sagged a bit with this second episode. Rob Riggle (“The Daily Show”) plays a rich guy, training for a space mission. The result is so-so by “Elsbeth” standards, quite good by any other standard.

3) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. This reruns the episode hosted by Michael Keaton – his fourth turn as host, sprawled over 42 years. Billie Eilish is the music guest.

4) “I Am Sam Kinison” (2017), 8-10 p.m., CW. After seven years as a Pentecostal preacher like his father, Kinison turned to comedy. When he merged shock jokes with a preacher style, he soared. After surviving his own addictions, ironically, he was killed at 38 by a drunken driver. This film uses clips of his routines, plus comments from friends.

5) Tom Cruise films. “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” (2011) airs twice – 10:58 a.m. on the Paramount Network, 6:45 p.m. on Showtime. Paramount has “Top Gun” (1986) at 1:35 and 6:22 p.m. “Top Gun: Maverick” (2022) at 3:48 and 8:30. Showtime has “Jack Reacher” (2012) at 10:15 a.m. and “MI” films a 12:30 (1996), 2:30 (2000) and 4:35 p.m. (2006).
