3) Bowl games. The Fiesta Bowl (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN) starts a round of the national playoffs, with Penn State and Boise State; three more games are Wednesday. ESPN also has bowls today at noon (Alabama-Michigan) and 3:30 (Baylor-Louisiana State). Others: 2 p.m., CBS (Louisville-Washington) and 3 p.m., ABC (Illinois-South Carolina).
4) Global telecast, CNN. Things start at 2:45 p.m. ET, with Laura Coates in London and Boris Sanchez in Paris. At 8, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen are in New York, with music (Meghan Trainor, Diplo, Shania Twain, 50 Cent, Mickey Guyton) and comedy. At 12:30 a.m., this moves to Austin, Texas.
5) More Eve. At 8 p.m. (repeating at 9:30), PBS has Sara Bareilles and the National Symphony. From 9-11, NBC has Hota Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager with “A Toast to 2024.” It follows at 11:30 with a Seth Meyers special with his “Day Drinking” segment, plus a “Hot 10 of 2024” rerun at 12:37.
