1) Jimmy Fallon’s 10th-anniversary special, 8-10 p.m., NBC. Actually, it’s almost 11 years. Fallon (shown here) passed the 10-year mark on Feb. 17 and had this special three months later, offering clips of sketches (with Will Ferrell, Nicole Kidman and such), games and music. It reruns now.
2) “The Day of the Jackal,” 10 p.m., NBC. This just finished its 10-episode opening season on Peacock. It will be back next year … and on Sunday is up for Golden Globes for best drama and actor (Eddie Remayne). First, here’s a chance to re-see the first episode. Remayne plays an assassin, pursued by a British agent (Lashana Lynch).
3) “NCIS: Origins,” 10 p.m., CBS. This week, viewers will be re-introduced to “Origins,” the well-made prequel. Tonight is a rerun of the first episode to follow the two-part opener: A murder probe takes the team to a mall near San Diego, where Gibbes takes matters into his own hands. More reruns follow: three Wednesday, one next Monday, three on Jan. 12.
4) “Darby and Joan” season-opener, www.acorn.tv. This began when an RV collision introduced an Australian ex-cop (Bryan Brown) and a British ex-nurse (Greta Scacchi). In the first season, they faced mysteries about her late husband; now they probe the case that ended his career, solving others along the way. The opener is a fairly good tale, in great Aussie settings.
5) Rescue reruns, Fox. At 8 p.m., “9-1-1: Lone Star” tackles a train derailment. At 9, “Rescue: Hi-Surf” faces a unique crisis: An influencer, making a video in a wedding dress, is swept into the ocean. Both shows will be back to new episodes on Jan. 20, but “Lone Star” has only three left.
