1) “Blue Bloods” series-finale, 10 p.m., CBS. For 14 seasons, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) has led the New York City police department and a Reagan family filled with cops (shown here is Donnie Wahlberg, who plays is oldest son) and an assistant district attorney. Now there’s one final crisis, with gangs combining to demand the release of prisoners. Edward James Olmos is a guest star.
2) “SWAT” and “Fire Country,” 8 and 9 p.m., CBS. Unlike “Blue Bloods,” these shows will merely take a six-week break. They’ll be back Jan. 31, with “NCIS: Sydney” taking the third spot. On tonight’s “Fire Country,” Phil Morris guests as Eve’s estranged father, whose ranch is endangered.
3) “Happy’s Place,” 8 p.m., NBC. The main story is pretty good, with Bobbie (Reba McEntire) coaching her half-sister in breaking up. A secondary plot, revolving around the wildly unrealistic Gabby, can best be ignored.
4) “Bob (Hearts) Abishola,” 8 and 8:30 p.m., CW. Speaking of comedies, few are better than this one, which has reruns tonight, in front of the new “Children Ruin Everything.” Both episodes revolve around Dottie (Christine Ebersole, a two-time Tony winner). First, people want her to make out a will; then they try to nudge her out of her depression.
5) “Elton John: Never Too Late,” Disney+. Here’s a documentary about a fascinating life. Meanwhile, the guy who played John in “Rocketman” (Taron Egerton) stars in “Carry-On,” as a TSA agent encased in a terror scheme. Also streaming: Paramount+ starts a “Dexter” prequel; earlier this week, “Maria” (Angelina Jolie as Maria Callas) reached Netflix.
