1) “Grinch” and “Reindeer in Here.” We can catch back-to-back animation – old and new, great and fairly good. First is the superb “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” at 7:30 p.m. on Bravo. Then switch to CBS for “Reindeer in Here” (shown here), a good-enough hour from 2022. Moving to a new town, a boy feels lonely … until a confused reindeer needs help saving Christmas.
2) “Holiday Touchdown,” 8 p.m., Hallmark. The Kansas City Chiefs provide a backdrop here, for a story that includes its stadium, some of its players and Donna Kelce, Travis’ mom. Hunter King stars as someone who expects to win the team’s superfan contest … until her grandfather’s lucky hat is lost.
3) More Christmas. Hallmark also has a new Christmas film at 6 p.m. Others are at 7 p.m. ET on UpTV and at 8 p.m. on Lifetime – where gospel great BeBe Winans stars in “We Three Kings.” He plays someone trying to get his daughters to revive their gospel trio. Also, “It’s a Wonderful Life” (1946), NBC’s annual Christmas Eve film, is 8 p.m. on Bravo.
4) College football. The final day of the regular season begins, as always, with Michigan and Ohio State. That’s noon ET on Fox. Other key match-ups include South Carolina and Clemson (noon, ESPN) and Texas and Texas A&M (7:30 p.m., ABC).
5) ALSO: “Saturday Night Live” (11:29 p.m., NBC) reruns its Oct. 5 episode, with Nate Bergatze hosting and Coldplay as music guest. Movies include “Die Hard” at 4:15 and 7:15 p.m. on IFC and “The Godfather” at 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sundance, with its sequel at 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
