1) “The Untold Story of Mary Poppins,” 9-11 p.m., ABC. The movie and its stars seems eternal. Julie Andrews (shown here), now 89, and Dick Van Dyke, turning 99 on Dec. 13, still perform; co-composer Richard Sherman died in May, at 95. Here’s a view of the film, which ABC airs Thursday. It won five Oscars, including one for Andrews and two for the Sherman brothers.
2) “Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving,” 9-11 p.m., NBC. The network’s full attention is on the holiday. At 8 p.m., it has a profile of the Macy’s parade (which it will air from 8:30 a.m. to noon). Then it has past “SNL” sketches.
3) “The Summit,” 9:30 p.m., CBS. With only five of the 16 people left, the show trims to an hour, leaving room for a “Ghosts” rerun (a visitor can see the ghosts) at 10:30. Last week, people retreated to duck a storm; they hope to reach the final checkpoint tonight and the summit in next week’s finale.
4) “Sullivan’s Crossing,” 8 p.m., CW. It’s time to dig into family history. That involves Cal, his visiting sister (who collapsed with convulsions) and, especially, Sully. He starts a project with his ex-wife and reveals a secret to a young friend. It’s a somber hour, at times, with moments of joy.
5) “Buried in Barstow” (2022) and “The Hammer” (2023), 6 and 8 p.m., Lifetime Movie Network. These above-average TV movies each have a U.S. desert backdrop. First, Angie Harmon is a former hit woman, now protecting her daughter and others. Then Reba McEntire is a no-nonsense judge.
