2) “Murder in a Small Town” season-finale, 8 p.m., Fox. The strength of this show involves its regular characters — quietly caring people, with depth and soul. So this episode feels like a misfit; it’s a serial-killer case (which started last week), with moments of absurd excess. Flaws and all, it’s still a good hour.

3) “St. Denis Medical,” 8 p.m., NBC. Minor gripes manage to snowball, in a busy episode. Ron is bitter because someone parked too close; a nurse (Nico Santos of “Superstore,” in a guest role) fights an attempt to break up his team. One plotline – involving employee-of-the-month – falls flat, but the others build into a fun half-hour.

4) “Night Court,” 8:30, NBC. Last week’s season opener rippled with offbeat humor. In tonight’s follow-up, DNA tests will tell if Dan is the father of Abby’s boyfriend. It’s a fairly good episode, with the best moments from Wendie Malick, defying the courthouse’s smoking ban

5) “Lidia Celebrates America,” 9 p.m., PBS. Just before we try a traditional Thanksgiving meal, Lidia Bastianich shows us food alternatives. She visits the Indigenous Food Lab in Minneapolis, an upscale Appalachian restaurant serving rabbit, the Black Urban Farmers Association of Stockton and more.
