Then came strikes and Kevin Costner’s movie schedule. After a 22-month gap, this starts its final six episodes. Paramount reruns the season’s previous ones, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

2) “Tracker,” 9 p.m., CBS. There’s no “Equalizer” tonight. Instead, a 90-minute “60 Minutes” is at 7:30 p.m. Then “Tracker” – a missing boy seemed to have a spiritual gift — is at 9, leading into “Yellowstone.”

3) “The Simpsons,” 8 p.m., Fox. Fresh from last week’s “Treehouse of Horror,” the show again goes with mini-tales. This one has separate shorts about the various women and girls in Springfield.

4) “Howards End,” 8 p.m., PBS. This fairly good mini-series starts its four-week rerun. Also rerunning is the brilliant “Wolf Hall” (with its third of six episodes) at 10. In between, a new episode of “Marlow Murder Club” is at 9, now with the local women as official consultants for the police. It’s a good hour, leading to next week’s so-so finale.

5) Movies. At 7 p.m., CW has “Shrek 2” (2004). At 8, ABC has Robin Williams in the comedy “Mrs. Doubtfire” (1993). And at 8 ET, Turner Classic Movies has Steven Spielberg’s first movie (if you don’t count three made-for-TV films. “Sugarland Express” (1974) has Goldie Hawn as a young mom, eluding police in a wild Texas chase.
