1) “St. Denis Medical” debut, 8 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, NBC. The “Superstore” people have another quick, slick workplace comedy. Allison Tolman (shown here), from the “Fargo” mini-series, plays an overstressed chief nurse, with Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Goldbergs”) as an underskilled administrator. 2) “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” 6:27 p.m. Saturday, TBS. One of TV’s all-time gems arrives 39 days before Christmas. Chuck Jones’ animation turned Dr. Seuss’ story into a mini-masterpiece. Another classic – “The Wizard of Oz” (1939) – is at 8. Also: “The Year Without a Santa Claus” at 6:57; “Polar Express” (2004) at 4:27 and 10:15 pm.

3) “The American Soldier,” 8-10:05 p.m. today, History; also at 12:03 a.m. On Veterans Day, here’s a 250-year history. Also, History starts and ends with portraits of Black units in the air (7 a.m.) and in tanks (10:05 p.m. and 2:05 a.m.). In between, it has HD miniseries viewing World War II (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and the Vietnam War (2-8 p.m.).

4) More Veterans Day, today. At 10 p.m., PBS profiles a Marine veteran who helps grieving families. All day, (9 a.m. to 6 a.m.), the Smithsonian Channel has documentaries, including one (6:30-8:30 p.m.) viewing World War II and integration. Turner Classic Movies has a military marathon and Showtime has the superb “Saving Private Ryan”(1998) at 6:05 p.m.,

5) “Murder in a Small Town,” 8 p.m. Tuesday, Fox. After a potent episode, with Cassandra (Kristin Kreuk) kidnapped, the show had a two-week break for baseball and elections. It returns with Cassie shattered and her boyfriend, the police chief, facing a new threat and a steel-willed psychiatrist (Paula Patton). The result, as usual, is a well-crafted drama.

6) “The Golden Bachelorette” finale, 8-9:30 p.m. Wednesday, ABC The “overnight dates” brought two jolts: Joan Vassos announced there would be no sex; also, Pascal Ibgui said he wasn’t in love and left. That leaves Vassos – 61, a school administrator – with Guy Ganserd, 66, an ER doctor; or “Chock” Chapple, 61, an insurance executive.

7) “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” 8 p.m. Thursday, CBS. From “Cheers” to “Friends” and beyond, comedies have set their best episodes on Thanksgiving, when characters are thrown together. Now this adds a poignant touch: It’s Georgie’s first holiday since his dad died; Mandy tries to assemble his mother and sister, plus his grandmother and her boyfriend.

8) “Say Norhing” debut, Thursday, Hulu. Passionate and compelling, this follows the North Ireland tumult through one fictional character, a confident teen, trying to avoid her dad’s IRA route. Also streaming: The debut of: Aldis Hodge as crimesolver Alex Cross in “Cross” (Thursday, Amazon); the start of the second “Bad Sisters” season (Wednesday, Apple TV+).

9) “Great Performances,” 9-11 p.m., Friday, PBS. This reruns a great special from last May, celebrating the 80th anniversary of Rodgers and Hammerstein. It has vibrant moments from theater stars in London (where it was taped), especially Michael Ball and Marsha Wallace. There are also Broadway stars, led by Audra McDonald, Aaron Tveit and Patrick Wilson.

10) “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” (2023), 8-11 p.m. Sunday, ABC. This terrific film never got the love (or money) it deserves. In the Indy tradition, it has dazzling action scenes and smart dialog. Harrison Ford, now 82, is excellent here, and in Apple’s “”Shrinking” series. Phoebe Waller-Bridge plays his estranged goddaughter, on a global adventure.
