Best-bets for Nov. 9: “SNL” will try to laugh

2) “Yellowstone,” Paramount Network. After a 22-month pause, this is almost ready for its final six episodes. That starts Sunday, but first we can catch up. Today (9 a.m. to 2 a.m.) has the end of the third season and the full fourth one. On Sunday, the fifth season’s first eight episodes rerun, leading to first of the new ones.

3) “Family Film and TV Awards,” 8-9 p.m., CBS. Kevin Frazier and Amanda Kloots host and give an award to Jerry Mathers of “Leave It to Beaver.” Nominated for best movie are “Twisters,” “Arthur the King” and the latest chapters of “Dune,” “Ghostbusters” and “Godzilla.” TV shows include “Young Sheldon,” “Abbott Elementary” and more.

4) Football. ABC has a strong day, with Florida at Texas (ranked No. 5) at noon, Georgia (No. 3) at Mississippi (No. 15) at 3:30 and Alabama (No. 11) at Louisiana State (No. 15) at 7:30. CW has Syracuse at Boston at noon and San Jose State at Oregon State at 3:30. It pauses for NASCAR at 7:30, then has Utah State at Washington State at 10:30.

5) ALSO: After rerunning the superb “Planet Earth: Dynasties” (10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), BBC America switches to two strong films – “Terminator” (1984) is at 3:30 and 9; its sequel (1991) is at 6 and 11:30.
