1) “Happy’s Place” and “The Voice,” 8 and 8:30 p.m., NBC. Reba McEntire has double duty here. She’s a judge on “Voice,” which trims to 90 minutes tonight, to make room for a rerun of her comedy opener. It’s an almost-adequate show, in which she learns that a half-sister (shown here) she didn’t know about has inherited half of the bar she runs.
2) “Murder in a Small Town,” 9 p.m., Fox. This sweet Canadian town now has a stalker. In other places, this would be a time for histrionics. This show, however, is filled with sturdy souls who know to stay calm. The result is a fairly smart and intense drama.
3) “Only Murders in the Building,” Hulu. A week from the finale, we finally get a breakthrough. We learn who is the apparent killer – and yes, it’s a surprise. Along the way, there’s also humor, friendship and Ron Howard.
4) “Latino Vote 2024,” 10 p.m., PBS. Two years ago, PBS profiled efforts to gather the growing power of Latino votes. Here’s an update, profiling people in Arizona, California, Florida, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
5) Movies. Bigger isn’t always better, you know. At 8 p.m. ET, MGM+ has “Fargo” (1996); at 8 ET, Turner Classic Movies has “Cleopatra” (1963) – which is more than two-and-a-half times as long and (adjusted for inflation) a zillion times more expensive. But “Fargo” is a true gem; “Cleopatra” is
merely large and kind of interesting.
