1) “Tracker,” 8:30 p.m., CBS. Yes, it’s great to have a strong-and-silent hero; that’s kind of a Hollywood tradition. But sometimes you need the opposite. Tonight, Colter (Justin Hartley), quiet and careful) is missing. His brother (noisy and risky) is called in to help. He’s again played by Jensen Ackles (left, with Hartley), in a vibrant episode.
2) “Equalizer,” 9:30 p.m., CBS. Now back to strong-and-silent. That’s Robyn (Queen Latifah), who’s trying to rescue teens who picked the wrong truck to steal. Also, her daughter tries to help the deeply traumatized Mel.
3) “The Chosen” season-finale, 8-10 p.m., CW. This wraps the fourth season of a planned seven, tracing Jesus via the people near him. Tonight, he’s expected to arrive regally; instead, he humbly rides a donkey.
4) “Moonflower Murders” finale, 9 p.m., PBS. This brilliant six-parter has juggled two mysteries – one from now, the other from a book (set in the ‘40s) based on that. Last week, we saw how the book solved one of its two murders; now we see the other … and then the real case. Susan prevails, while imagining chats with the book’s detective.
5) Sports. There could be a three-sport pile-up: At 8:15 p.m. ET, NBC has football, with the Jets and Steelers. At 8 are play-off games, if needed (check Sports): Baseball, Mets-Dodgers in game six of seven, on ESPN; and basketball, Lynx-Liberty, in the fifth and final game, on Fox Sports1.
