2) “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” debut, 8 p.m., CBS. These were terrific characters on “Young Sheldon,” so the only question was whether their own show would work. It does,. At the core is Georgie, bringing a sweetness and optimism. A warmly funny show has him with Mandy (11 years his senior) and the baby, in her parents’ home.

3) More CBS. Starting its season later than the other networks, CBS can dominate attention. At 8:30, “Ghosts” has a fairly good season-opener, following the disappearance of Isaac. At 9, “Matlock” has its second episode, a good one: Matty helps a family whose son has been accused of murder.

4) “The Lincoln Lawyer,” Netflix. Mickey, the street-smart lawyer who used to keep his papers in his Lincoln, has been busy. There are Michael Connelly novels, a Matthew McConaughey movie and this series, with Manuel Garcia-Ruffo. His first ex-wife has moved (we see her in an opening flashback), his second ex-wife works with him and his friend Glory Days was killed.

5) “Grey’s Anatomy,” 10 p.m., ABC. Now that Dr. Ben Warren is back at the hospital (after years as an EMT), there are new complications. He and Dr. Miranda Bailey (his wife and work superior) try to navigate personal and professional roles. Also, Mika faces a crisis; Jo and Link get surprising news.
