1) “Matlock” and “Elsbeth” reruns, 9 and 10 p.m., CBS. In the old days, CBS had Angela Lansbury solving murders. Now it doubles up – two terrific shows with folksy women outsmarting the bad guys. For “Matlock,” this is the third run of the pilot film, with a clever twist at the end; for “Elsbeth,” it’s the season-finale (shown here), complete with an offbeat fashion show.
2) “Big Brother,” 8 p.m., CBS. The final spurt begins. There are one-hour episodes today and Friday (not the usual day), followed by a two-hour finale at 9 p.m. Sunday, with a $750,000 winner.
3) “9-1-1,” 8 p.m., ABC. This wraps up the three-part opener that began with the crash of a truck loaded with bees. Some of them created chaos in a plane; now Athena – who’s not a pilot – tries to bring it down, with her colleagues ready for landing-site aid. “Doctor Odyssey” and “Grey’s Anatomy” follow.
4) “Hell’s Kitchen,” 8 p.m., Fox. It’s an early-morning seafood challenge, putting some tempers on edge. That’s followed by “Crime Scene Kitchen,” with five family duos probing some mystery baking.
5) ALSO: It’s a big sports day, with the WNBA finals starting (8 p.m. ET, ESPN), alongside two baseball play-off games (if necessary) – 6 p.m. on TBS and 8 on TNT. Movies include the Hitchcock classic “Rear Window” (1954) at 8 ET on Turner Classic Movies and “Top Gun” (1986) at 8 on the Paramount Network.
