1) “Sullivan’s Crossing” season-opener, 8 p.m., CW. As the first season ended, Maggie returned to her life as a Boston surgeon. Then life crumbled at this little Canadian resort. A note from Cal (who’s shown here with Maggie) was intercepted before it got to her; her dad was hospitalized and forgot his foreclosure crisis. Now she rushes back, in an emotional hour.

2) “Joan” debut, 9 p.m., CW. This six-week series offers (fictionalized a bit), the early swirl of Joan Hannington’s life. Growing up in a rough home, she married at 17, but soon fled with her daughter. At 24, she began stealing jewels, soon becoming a master of deception. Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark in “Game of Thrones”) is excellent in a complex role.

3) “Survivor,” 8 p.m., CBS. The first person ousted was the best-known contestant, podcaster Jon Lovett; the second was TK Foster. Now three people make a key decision. Then “Summit” reruns its opener at 9:30, which will be its regular spot. Filmed amid New Zealand beauty, it’s a lot like “Survivor,” but with less fun and more ordeal.

4) “Doctor Odyssey,” 10:01 p.m., ABC. Next Wednesday, ABC has the “Abbott Elementary” opener and the “Scamanda” true-crime series. For now, it follows a two-hour “Golden Bachelorette” with a rerun of this opener. It starts well – the ocean-liner set is spectacular – then stumbles with its title character (Joshua Jackson), who seems stiff and then cruel.

5) “Chicago P.D.,” 10 p.m., NBC. Last week’s season-opener – a good one – ended with jolt. It had barely introduced Emily Martel when she was shot in the head; now that spurs an intense manhunt. That follows “Chicago Med” (the emergency-room chiefs clash) and “Chicago Fire.”
