1) “MasterChef” finale, 8-10 p.m., Fox. This started with home chefs from four generations. But in recent weeks, the remaining older chefs (ages 52, 62, 63 and 70) were ousted. Surviving are Kamay Lafalaise, 34; Michael Leonard, 27; and Becca Gibb, 24. They’ll prepare an appetizer, entree and dessert; then the judges (shown here in a previous episode) will choose the $250,000 winner.
2) “Golden Bachelorette” debut, 8-10 p.m., ABC. While the young people are making food, their elders will be making romance. At the center is Joan Vasso, 61, a widowed school administrator .She’ll meet one suitor who’s 57 and 23 who are in their 60s.
3) “Survivor” opener, 8-10 p.m., CBS. On the Fiji Islands, 18 strangers link. Most are young, between 24 and 34. There’s a doctor, a nurse and a construction worker, but most are in lighter fields – marketing managers; a podcast host and a radio host; a sports reporter, an E-sports commentator a writer; a graphic designer, a flight attendant and more.
4) “Big Cats 24/7,” 8-10 p.m., PBS. PBS often delivers great nature shows. But this one – filmed amid the beauty of the Botswana delta – focuses more on the filmmakers than the animals. It’s only mildly interesting, until late in the first hour, when a wildfire roars toward the filmmakers’ camp.
5) “Agatha All Along,” Disney+. This is the week for side characters to land their own, short-run series. Tonight, Kathryn Hahn plays the wicked witch who loster her powers (and memory) in “WandaVision.” On Thursday, Max has Colin Farrell as The Penguin, of Batman fame.
