Leading are two FX shows: “Shogun” (shown here) has 25 nominations, including best drama; “The Bear” has 23, including best comedy. The red carpet starts at 6 p.m. ET on E, 7 on ABC.
2) “Moonflower Murders” season-opener, 9 p.m., PBS. After solving two murders (one real, one in a novel), Susan moved to Crete. But now she must do it again: A novel, based on a true story, led a woman to realize who the real killer was; then she vanished. This brilliant six-parter leaps between two eras and two realities,
3) “Ridley” and “Van der Valk” season-openers, 8 and 10 p.m., PBS. Each has a six-week season, with three two-part stories. Each has a brooding detective and slow-but-solid stories. Ridely lives in the Irish countryside and is working with a young informant. Van der Valk lives on a Dutch houseboat and is working with his ex-lover..
4) “Snowpiercer,” 9 pm., AMC;, reruns at 10:02 and 1:34. A week from the series finale, it’s a tense time for Alex, the young engineering whiz. She tries to sabotage the track-switch computer and escape to the New Eden hall. Also, she finally learns who is her biological father.
5) ALSO: “Tulsa King” starts its second season today, on Paramount +. And Fox has new cartoons, starting at 8 p.m. with “Universal Basic Guys,” which improves somewhat on last week’s awful debut. Then come “Bob’s Burgers” and a two-part “The Great North.”
