1) Football, 8 p.m. ET, Fox. For five years, Fox filled almost every Friday with wrestling. Now the wrestlers have returned to the USA Network; to fill the gap, Fox switches to football, starting with Arizona (shown here) ranked No. 20, at Kansas State, No. 14. At 7, Kansas hosts UNLV (University of Nevada – Las Vegas).
2) “How To Die Alone” debut, Hulu. You know it’s a rough birthday when people bump you, furniture falls on you and you crash into a big apple” sculpture, causing it to roll ominously through the airport. Writer-star Natasha Rothwell skillfully mixes agony and hilarity. Here are four episodes, with others arriving weekly,
3) “American Masters,” 9 p.m., PBS (check local listings). At 92, Rita Moreno has had a 74-year film and TV career. She won an Oscar for “West Side Story,” added an Emmy, Tony and Grammy. Her vivid life has included civil-rights struggles and a Marlon Brando romance; it’s a colorful story, well-told in this 2021 documentary.
4) “Blue Bloods,” 10 p.m., CBS. In a rerun, Erin suspects that a lawyer isn’t working in his client’s best interests. Also, her brother Danny digs into campus crime, after his son Sean is the latest victim.
5) “Reds,” 8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies. Warren Beatty won an Oscar for directing this sprawling (3 hour, 20 minute) film. He also produced it, co-wrote it and starred as an American in the midst of the Russian revolution. The first half is potent; the second sags a bit.
