1) “Ghost” (1990), 6 p.m., CMT; 6:45, Showtime. The world seems to really want us to see Demi Moore (shown here) and Patrick Swayze film, airing it on two networks. It is a good one, richly romantic. More romance is available all day on Hallmark (including Lacey Chabert’s new “His & Hers” at 8) and on Great American Family.
2) More movies. You can catch a double feature – the “Crocodile Dundee” films at 6:45 and 8:45 p.m. on Sundance – or a triple feature: The original “Star Wars” ones are 6:15, 9 and 11:47 pm. on TNT. Other good choices, at 8 p.m., include “Bridesmaids” on Bravo and “Top Gun: Maverick” on MGM+).
3) “The Equalizer,” 8 p.m., CBS. The show’s new season doesn’t start until Oct. 20, so CBS reruns the opener from this season. It’s a high-stakes one, with Robyn racing to save her colleagues, as a former CIA agent prepares to kill them.
4) Biography movies, 8 p.m. HBO debuts a profile of David Chase, the writer-producer whose “The Sopranos” propelled the network and what’s been called TV’s platinum age. CW has “I Am Johnny Cash.”
5) ALSO NBC has a terrific “Saturday Night Live” rerun, with Kate McKinnon hosting and Billie Eilish singing. That’s 11:29 p.m., barring an overrun from the 7:30 ET Colorado-Nebraska game. There’s more football, from noon — Texas (ranked No. 3)/Michigan (No. 10), Fox – to 7:30: Tennessee (No. 14)/North Carolina State (No. 24), ABC.
