Best-bets for Sept. 4: killer clown and strong streamers

1) “The Real CSI Miami” season-finale, 9 p.m., CBS. A young mom was killed by someone in a clown costume, in front of her son. 2) “America’s Got Talent,” 8 p.m., NBC. Now we learn who are the final acts in next week’s semi-finals. So far, the field has three singers (ages 14, 20 and 55) and a band, plus a magician, a comedian, an arielist, a dog act and drone act. Three others advanced directly to the Sept. 17-18 finals.

3) “MasterChef,” 8 and 9 p.m., Fox. The 10 remaining chefs try what’s called a “fiery challenge.” Then two are ousted and the others face an odd task: On opposite sides of a wall, each duo tries to create identical dishes.

4) “Sullivan’s Crossing,” 8 p.m., CW. After trying to return to her Boston life, Maggie got bad news from her dad’s makeshift resort in Canada. She heads back with her boyfriend, trying to explain to him her love of the place. Three more reruns remain, leading to the second-season opener on Oct. 2.

5) Streamers. Two networks are doubling up on series. Today, Apple TV+ has the season-opener for “Slow Horses” and a new episode of “Bad Monkey:; Hulu has the season-opener of “Tell Me Lies,” one day after the second episode of the terrific “Only Murders in the Building.”
