1) “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” 8 p.m., ABC. Last week, Ike Barinholtz established himself as an overall champion. Already the “Celebrity Jeopardy” winner, he linked with his dad (shown here) to win a million dollars for charity on this show. Today’s guests include Jeff Ross and host Jimmy Kimmel’s cousin Sal.
2) Democratic convention, 10 p.m. ET, ABC, CBS, NBC; 8 p.m., PBS; earlier, news channels. This is folksy-guy night. At 10, Bill Clinton and Tim Walz are expected to be the speakers.
3) “Wayne Brady: The Family Remix,” 10 p.m, Freeform. It’s Brady’s busy time, with CBS’ “Let’s Make a Deal” (daytime and 8 p.m. Fridays) and this reality show, now turning serious. During a painful childhood, Brady was raised by his grandmother. She died in 2022; now he returns to Florida, to resolve feelings about his past.
4) “Time Bandits” season-finale, Apple TV+. Billed as a kids’ show, this ripples with grown-up wit, as Lisa Kudrow leads a clumsy crew (and an earnest lad) through time. It wraps with comedy greats: Taika Waititi, who’s been Hitler and a vampire, plays the Supreme Being; Jemaine Clement, of course, is Pure Evil.
5) ALSO: While wrapping up the family-friendly “Time Bandits,” Apple continues “Bad Monkey,” which is big, broad, profane and fun. Also, “MasterChef” (8-10 p.m. Fox) has everyone cooking with beer. And FX has Viola Davis in the epic “The Woman King” (2022), at 7 and 10.
