1) “The Conners,” 8-10 p.m., CW. As the Democratic convention continues, CW – no news division, no responsibilities – offers an alternative, with “Conners” reruns today and Thursday. Together, they provide the final six episodes of 2020: Harris struggles, Darlene changes jobs, Dan and Louise (shown here) get closer.
2) Convention. The Democrats bring out their biggest star, Barack Obama. That’s during the 10 p.m. ET hour, when ABC, CBS and NBC will be there. PBS will start at 8, some news channels even sooner.
3) “America’s Got Talent,” 8-10 p.m., NBC. The live shows began last week, with a trend: Individuals were sent home; advancing were a band, an acrobat act and a dog act. Now this round has dancers, drone and mores. Viewers will vote, with the results Wednesday.
4) “Celebrity Family Feud,” 8 and 9 p.m., ABC. “Judge Steve Harvey” has ended its season, but we can catch Harvey hosting “Feud.” The first hour is new, with David Chang facing John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, and with the “Star Trek” and “Deadliest Catch” casts. The second has Chris Redd, Tamron Hall and more.
5) Movies. “Free Guy” (2021), at 5:30 p.m. on FX, has action, whimsy, Ryan Reynolds and a clever script. For more action, try “Furiosa” (2024), 6:28 p.m., HBO; or a TNT trio – “Wonder Woman 1984” (2020), 4:45; “Justice League” (2017), 8; “Black Adam” (2022), 10:30.
