Two quirky series – each with a vibrant fan base – bring fresh news.
For “What We Do In the Shadows,” it’s the date for the sixth and final season. That will be Oct. 21, for an 11-episode run.
And for “Bridgerton,” the timing is still unknown but the focal point is set Next season turns to Benedict Bridgerton (shown here), the artist who’s had a Bohemian lifestyle. Details are:
— “SHADOWS.” This offbeat tale has vampires living in Staten Island and going unnoticed – mainly because of their own lethargy or ineptness.
It recently got a fresh burst of Emmy approval – eight nominations, include best comedy series. That gives it 29 nominations so far (including three for best-comedy), but its only win has been for costumes.
Now FX has set the season to start with two episodes on Oct. 21. There will be nine more weekly ones, each reaching Hulu the next day.
— “BRIDGERTON”: This lushly romantic drama, set in a mythical monarchy, has slowly seen the Bridgertons kids find love and marriage.
It was Daphne (the fourth-born) in the first season … Anthony (the eldest) in the second … and Colin (the third-born) in the third.
There are still four younger siblings, but now it’s time for Benedict. He’s the second-oldest, but has resisted most of the love-and-marriage talk. An artist, he’s stuck with a footloose life … until now.
