Best-bets for July 23: Games seize the night

1) “America’s Got Talent” (shown here), 8-10 p.m., NBC. It’s a turning point for the season, wrapping up eight weeks of auditions. After tonight, the show takes a two-week Olympic break before switching to its live episodes, with viewers voting. “2) “Password” season-finale, 10 p.m., NBC. This network really wants us to know that the Olympics start Friday; It even has Lindsey Vonn – a winter Olympian – as Jimmy Fallon’s opponent. There are triumphs and failures: Mis-interpreting the clue “cereal,” someone responds “killers”’ the correct answer was “Wheaties.”

3) “Celebrity Family Feud,” 8 p.m., ABC. These guys are big in reality shows – Robin Thicke of “Masked Singer” and Anthony Anderson of … well, many things. The other round has country singer Walker Hayes and actress Rachel Bilson of “The O.C.”

4) “Gods of Tennis” opener, 9 p.m. PBS. This three-parter focuses on the Wimbletons, called “brutal combat disguised as a vicar’s tea party.” Amid its niceties, it saw the world change. Arthur Ashe became the first Black champion; Billie Jean King propelled gender equality. She supported his cause, he resisted hers, but both prevailed.

5) ALSO: PBS follows at 10 p.m. with a “Frontline” that traces two families, struggling economically, over 34 years. Movies range from the cheerful “Princess Diaries” films at 5 and 7:30 p.m. on Freeform to “Star Trek” ones on MGM+. The later films air in the daytime, with the Kirk/Spock ones at 5:45. 8, 9:55 and beyond
