1) “Mammals,” 8-9:23 p.m., BBC America. In Chile, sea lions stroll a marina, snacking from fish merchants. In Singapore, otters cavort in pools; in Zimbabwe, elephants walk the streets at night. These are pleasant portraits of the “new wild,” adding humans. But there are also nasty moments – dogs confront the seals (shown here), farmers drain hippos’ water holes.
2) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. Barring a late change, this will rerun an episode from October, with Bad Bunny as host and music guest. Of the 20 hosts this season, only one other (Dua Lipa) did double duty.
3) Indiana Jones marathon, Paramount Network. Here is Steven Spielberg’s brilliant trilogy, with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981) at 11:30 a.m. and its sequels at 2 (1984) and 4:30 p.m. (1987). Then we go from “Raiders” at 7:25 to the third – and maybe best – film (1989) at 10. The fairly good fourth film (2008) opens and closes the run, at 9 a.m. and 12:55 a.m.
4) More movies. FX starts a Marvel marathon at 9 .m., peaking with the first ‘”Avengers” (2012) and “Guardians of the Galaxy” (2014), at 7 and 10 p.m.
TBS has the jaunty “Crazy Rich Asians” (2018) at 8 p.m. and IFC has great ‘80s films, led by “Pee-wee;s Big Adventure” at 9:30 a.m., “Say Anything” at 3:45 p.m. and “Breakfast Club” at 10.
5) ALSO: A “Tracker” rerun (8 p.m., CBS) has Colter probing the disappearance of two amateur storm-trackers. NBC counters with game-show reruns – “Weakest Link” at 8 p.m. and “Password” (Jimmy Fallon vs. Roy Wood Jr.) at 9.
