1) “Tulsa King” opener, 8 p.m., CBS. In the wobbly world of CBS and its owners (Paramount), Taylor Sheridan has been vital For Paramount Network, he made “Yellowstone”; for Paramount+, he made its prequels, plus “Mayor of Kingstown” and this show, with Sylvester Stallone (shown here) as a newly arrived mobster. Before its second season starts, the first reruns on CBS.
2) “Orphan Black: Echoes,” 10 p.m., AMC and BBC America. After some odd detours, this hour takes hol. in its final moments. People are thrust together: two (Krysten Ritter and Amanda Fix) are different versions of the same person; Others know the secrets. There’s strong potential here.
3) “DI Ray,” 10 p.m., PBS. A week from the finale, Ray (Parminder Nagra) is under pressure to name a suspect.. All three PBS mysteries are well-crafted, but the others stick to a crime-of-the week form: “Grandchester” (8p.m.) probes a death in Georgie’s daughter’s workplace; “Professor T” sees the death of someone who could be his enemy.
4) Soccer, 8 p.m. ET, Fox. Here’s the championship game of the Copa America tournament. Lionel Messi – who, in the semi-finals, broke out of a brief scoring slump – leads Argentina. There’s no baseball tonight, but the draft starts at 7 p.m. ET, as the All-Star Game break begins.
5) Movies. If you’re bitter about no Sunday-night baseball (and you still don’t get this soccer thing), try “The Sandlot,” at 9 p.m. on ABC; it’s an amiable story about kids, baseball and obstacles, including a mean dog. Other films include “Sweet Home Alabama” (2002), at 7 on CW and – the day after “Shark Week” ends – “Jaws” (1975) at 8 on Syfy.
