Best-bets for July 10: ABC plays games, TCM goes wild

1) “Claim to Fame” season-opener, 9 p.m., ABC. This fun show has players guessing about family links. In the first two seasons, we’ve met the daughter of Eddie Murphy and (shown here) the son of Donny Osmond; we’ve seen grandchildren of Jimmy Carter and Whoopi Goldbrg and the identical twin of Laverne Cox. 1) “Claim to Fame” season-opener, 9 p.m., ABC. This fun show has players guessing about family links. In the first two seasons, we’ve met the daughter of Eddie Murphy and (shown here) the son of Donny Osmond; we’ve seen grandchildren of Jimmy Carter and Whoopi Goldbrg and the identical twin of Laverne Cox. 2) “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?” season-opener, 8 p.m., ABC. September marks the 25th anniversary of this show’s debut in England; it reached the U.S. 11 months later, causing a sensation. Now ABC will offer a twist, with two-celebrity teams. The opener has John Mulaney and Nick Kroll and then Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.

3) “Dynamic Planet” finale, 8 p.m.. Wednesday, PBS. This opens with grim signs of a broken eco-system, including locust swarms in South Africa. But it also offers bright signs. Indigenous people are restoring buffalo herds and replanting the rainforest; butterflies are being nurtured at both end of their journey between New York and Mexico.

4) “The Wild Angels” (1966), 4:15 a.m. ET Thursday, Turner Classic Movies. A night of films directed by Roger Corman starts at 8 a p.m. ET with Edgar Allan Poe tales, then Bloody Mama” at 2:30 a.m. and this biker film. It’s filled with skilled touches, including the handheld camerawork, Mike Curb’s soundtrack and the Peter Bogdanovich-revised script.

5) ALSO: On Fox, Gordon Ramsay has “MasterChef” contestants use aged or fermented ingredients (8 p.m.), then gives “Food Stars” people only three hours to prepare pitches for odd kitchen gadgets (9 p.m.). Also, a “Wild Cards” rerun has a clever ending to a story of a kidnapped accountant.
