2) \“All American: Homecoming” season-opener, 9 p.m.,, CW. The third season quickly answers key questions. (Which guy did Simone choose? Who won the baseball championship?) Then come big changes for this final season of this tale about life at a historically Black college.

3) “American Ninja Warrior,” 8 p.m., NBC. After lots of two-hour episodes, this trims back to an hour. That leaves room for “Password” at 9 (a rerun, with Jimmy Fallon and Meghan Trainor) and “The Wall” at 10.

4) “Great American Recipe,” 9 p.m., PBS. It’s time for contestants to bake, including one item apiece for a bake sale. That’s followed at 10 by “POV,” with “Is There Anybody Out There?” Ella Glendining, who has a rare leg disability, searches for people with similar situations; the result drew nominations at the Sundance and SXSW film festivals.

5) ALSO: This week, sharks fill two channels. At 9 and 10 p.m., National Geographic views how weather and climate might affect shark behavior. And at 10 on Discovery, Paul de Gelder returns to the spot where he lost a leg and an arm in an attack. Also at 10, “My Life is Murder” (also at www.acorn.tv) manages to mix ballet, archery and murder.
