1) “The Bear,” Hulu. It’s the first full day for “Bear.”. (Hulu originally planned to release the entire third season today; then it nudgged that up to 9 p.m. Wednesday.) The first season won 10 Emmys, including best comedy, actor (Jeremy Allen White, shown here) and supporting actor and actress (Ebon Moss-Bacharach, Ayo Edebiri). The second will be up for Emmys in September.
2) Presidential debate, 9 p.m. ET, CNN and many networks. Here’s a debare that breaks all precedent. 3) Men’s gymnastics Olympic trials, 6 p.m. ET, USA Network. For four days, gymnasts will soar. The men have their second and final round at 3 p.m. Saturday on NBC; the women are on NBC at 8 p.m. Friday and Sunday.
4) “Young Sheldon” and “Ghosts,” 8 and 9 p.m., CBS. Before the debate – or after it on the West Coast – people can see above-average reruns. First, Sheldon sneaks out to sample German life; back home, his sister tries to slip past their dad. Then, Trevor’s dad – a schemer, of course – visits the manor.
