2) “America’s Got Talent” and “Password,” 8 and 10 p.m., NBC. Olympics trials gobble most of the week, but NBC has today and Wednesday for other shows. Today’s “Talent” auditions are followed by a “Password” rematch with Meghan Trainor and Jimmy Fallon. The rules are flawed – too easy to use rhymes, for instance – but the people are fun
3) “Disco: Soundtrack of a Revolution,” 9 p.m., PBS. In 1977, this film reminds us, disco music conquered the world. “Saturday Night Fever” dominated theaters and radio stations; 5,000 discos opened, including the ultra-selective Studio 54. Gay men and Black women led pop culture. As one person put it: “The outsiders became the insiders.”
4) “Clipped,” Hulu. A week from the finale, this true-life story finds all sides scrambling. Donald Sterling tries to keep his basketball franchise, after people heard his rants … His ex-girlfriend, who recorded those rants, tries to explain herself to Barbara Walters … And Doc Rivers, the coach, finds himself doing everyone’s work.
5) MOVIES: During the pandemic, two entertaining adventures skipped theaters and went straight to Disney+. Now you can catch either one at 8 p.m. — “Cruella” on Freeform and the animated “Raya and the Last Dragon” (both 2021) on the Disney Channel.
