1) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. On Thursday, the entire third season of the Emmy-winning “The Bear” will debut on Hulu. Now “SNL” reruns the hour hosted by Ayo Edebiri, who has already won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for “Bear.” Jennifer Lopez (left, with Edebiri and Heidi Gardner) is the music guest.
2) “The Bad Orphan” and “Two Scoops of Italy,” 8 p.m., Lifetime and Hallmark. In CBS’ “Life in Pieces,” Hunter King was the hot date (and, then, wife) of Betsy Brandt’s son. Now they star in very opposite films. Brandt plays someone who fears the 8-year-old she adopted is evil. King plays a chef who visits an Italian village for inspiration.
3) U.S. Olympic trials. NBC and Peacock have diving at 1 and 7 p.m. and track-and-field at 9. Meanwhile, swimming shifts between three spots – Peacock alone at 11 a.m., USA Network at 6:30 and NBC and Peacock at 8.
4) Scripted-show reruns, 8 p.m. On CBS, “FBI: International” has the team trying to find an American boy who was kidnapped outside his family’s new home in Tuscany. And on CW, “The Conners” has four episodes from 2021, with Louise ready to move into Dan’s home.
5) Movies. There are terrific ones, led by “A League of Their Own” (1992, 6 and 9 p.m., E); “Footloose” (1984, 7 p.m., AMC) and Disney’s top cartoons. The Disney Channel has “Toy Story 2” (1999) at 8 p.m.; Freeform has the “Frozen” films (2013, 2019) at 6:20 and 8:50 and “Fantasia” (1940) at 11.
