1) “Ghosts” season-finale, 8:30 p.m., CBS. This s something Isaac wouldn’t have believed during his lifetime, 250 years ago: He’s marrying another man … who was a British officer … whom he killed during the Revolutionary War. (They’re shown here, in a previous episode.) Now the wedding is complicated by an unexpected guest, wrapping up a 10-episode, post-strike season.
2) “Welcome to Wrexham” season-opener, 10 and 11 p.m., FX. Things start giddily: Last season ended with Wrexham’s soccer team triumphing, winning promotion to a higher league. We see the celebration, an American tour … and some jolts. We see big moments centering on scorer Paul Mullin, goalkeeper Ben Foster … and a likable photographer who’s never been to a game.
3) “Young Sheldon,” 8 p.m., CBS. While “Ghosts” – which will be back in the fall – is wrapping up, “Sheldon” still has five more episodes in its final season. It will double up on the next two Thursdays, after tonight’s one episode: Octavia Spencer – an Oscar-winner for “The Help” – plays the tough probation officer for Sheldon’s grandma.
4) “Grey’s Anatomy,” 9 p.m., ABC. After a two-week break, this will stuff May with five episodes, including two in the May 23 season-finale. Tonight’s patients include a VIP and someone from a penitentiary. Also, Bailey tried to integrate wellness into the residency program.
5) “Elsbeth,” 10 p.m., CBS. It’s fun to see Elsbeth Tascioni solve a murder … even when things are too convenient, as they are here. Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) is described by a mogul (Keegan-Michael Key) as “oddly persistent – and persistently odd.” She is; she’s also observant and relentlessly cheerful, an engaging combination.
