1) “Tracker,” 8 p.m., CBS. In a one-time switch, CBS moves this up an hour., for an episode that teams Colter (Jason Hartley) with his nemesis, a fellow tracker. She’s played by Hartley’s wife, Sofia Pernas (shown heere). A Morrocan natiive, she was Marisa on “The Young and the Restless” (where they met), Cataliina in “Jane the Virgin” and starred in CBS’ summer action show, “Blood & Treasure.”
2) “Call the Midwife,” 8 p.m., PBS. After last week’s clumsy, gun-toting opener, “Midwife” is back on track. Some of the focus is on Cyril, the good-hearted Jamaican native and lay minister, frustrated by the limits of his government job. That’s followed by the mid-section of the three-part “Nolly,” with Helena Bonham Carter brilliant as a real-life soap star who was suddenly fired.
3) Pre-Easter shows, UpTV. Next weekend will bring a rush of religious shows, including the 1956 “Ten Commandments” (Saturday on ABC) and other epics (Easter Sunday on Turner Classic Movies). First, Up has the 2005 “Ten Commandments” at 9 a.m. ET today and 1 p.m. Friday. Also today, it hasd the second “Chosen” season, 1-9:30 p.m. ET, leading up to the Sermon on the Mount.
4) Dramas, 10 p.m. Here are two episodes that are opposite in every way except the important one: Both are well-made. CBS reruns the “Equalizer” season-opener, with Robyn’s colleagues about to be killed. PBS has the second “Alice & Jack”; Jack is now happily settled with Lynn and their baby … when Alice re-enters his life.
5) ALSO: CBS has the college basketball tournament at noon, 2:30 and 5 p.m. ET, but gives the 7:30 game to TruTV; other games are at 6 and 8:30 p.m. on TNT and 7 and 9:30 on TBS. CW has the delightful “Ghostbusters” (1984) at 7, crossing other popular shows – at 7:30, “Harry Potter ad the Goblet of Fire” (2005) on NBC; at 8, “American Idol” on ABC and “The Simpsons” and more on Fox.
