1) “Bob (Hearts) Abishola,” 8 and 8:30 p.m., CBS. One of TV’s best comedies gets two episodes, propelling some plot shifts for its final season. First, Bob’s sister (shown here, center) says she’ll have a baby on her own; that nudges Abishola and Bob to re -examine the notion of having a baby. Then Abishola’s ex-husband suddenly arrives from Nigeria; he charms most people … and makes others suspicious.
2) “Queens,” 8 p.m., National Geographic Channel. Here is Nat Geo at its best, with a two-Monday series filled with superb wildlife footage. In this case, the hours (created by women) focus on the females leading each species. Today starts with lions, then has boonobo (a smaller great ape) and then tiny insect; it repeats at 11:11 p.m., then goes to Disney+.
3) “MasterChef Junior” season-opener, 8 p.m., Fox. Lilo, who’s 9, is growing up in her parent’s Asian fusion restaurant. Asher is going for global fusion; he’s 8 and has been cooking for six years. Bre, 10, is the “hamburger queen”; Jordyn, 8, is a pageant kid, “fancy and cute and pretty,” but serious about food. They’re among the 12 likable kids who give the season a fun start.
4) “So You Think You Can Dance” season-opener, 9 p.m., Fox. After some terrific years, this almost vanished. This is only the second season in the past four-and-a-half years. JoJo Siwa, 21, returns as judge, alongside newcomers. Allison Holker, 36, has been on the show as a contestant (reaching the top 8) and a pro; Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 44, was a “Dancing With the Stars” pro for 17 years.
5) “An American in Paris” (1951), 8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies. Speaking of dancing, you’ll see a lot of it here from Gene Kelly. Part of TCM’s Academy Awards month, it won six Oscars, including best picture. More musicals: “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” (1954), 6 p.m. ET on TCM; “The Greatest Showman” and “Beauty and the Beast” (both 2017), 7:30 and 9:45 p.m., TNT.
